I am also passionate about teaching Mathematics and using technology to assist learning. I think it’s important to foster student’s creativity and curiosity and encourage a love for learning.

I grew up in Levin and have spent time in the USA and Australia. I spent many years living in Kerikeri and now reside in Longburn. I have a checky, but gorgeous 1-year-old daughter, a big clumsy puppy, and a bossy cat. We enjoy going for long walks and playing at the park. We swim most weekends and enjoy staying home and watching a good movie or the Netball.

My door is always open, so come and visit me in Room 6.

I was born and raised in Whanganui. After returning from living in the United States for 3 years I studied as a teacher and taught in a Y0-Y1 class. I took a 10 year break from classroom teaching although was very fortunate to have held various roles within Education across the primary, secondary and tertiary sectors. I relocated permanently to Palmerston North from Auckland in 2021 and have welcomed the opportunity to return to classroom teaching.

It was an honour teaching for the first time at Te Kura o Wairau for three terms in 2022. Over this time, I have loved serving the vision and uara of this kura. It strongly aligns with my own personal kaupapa, and I am looking forward to contributing to and developing and growing in this further.

Malo le soifua ma le lagi mama.

I am the eldest of 4 children to my parents first marriage, and a middle child in the second. We have a large multicultural whānau, and I was born down South but grew up in the lower North Island in a variety of towns.

I’ve lived in Westbrook for about 13 years now with my 2 sons and 2 cats and love our whole Highbury/Takaro/Westbrook community.
